Our Mission

Here at Sow Clever, we want to enable and inspire everyone to get growing! We provide a subscription box service that gives you the materials and expertise to grow your own vegetables and flowers from seed.

Convenient and simple, it takes the pain out of knowing what to plant and when. Perfect for novice gardeners who want to adopt a more environmentally responsible lifestyle, reduce their plastic usage and carbon footprint. Budget friendly, the subscription gives you the materials to grow up to 30 plug plants per month (that’s 360 plug plants a year!).

  • No gardening experience is necessary – curated seeds delivered at the right time to be grown, plus advice on planting out and recipe ideas for harvesting.
  • Everything is in the box and delivered to your door – including the seed tray, compost discs, seeds and instructions.
  • Clever box design – the packaging is used as the seed tray which is fully recyclable after use.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Sow Clever believes that gardening doesn’t have to cost the earth. All our compost products are peat free, and our seeds are sourced from a UK independent seed grower. You will never find any plastics in any of our growing kits. Our packaging has been sourced from recycled materials where possible, even down to our packing tape!

Charity

Mental health is an issue close to our hearts – so for us this is personal!

Did you know that approximately 1 in 4 people across the UK will experience a mental health problem each year?

The benefits of gardening on both our physical and mental health are well documented in the media, and we are therefore proud to donate 10% of our net profits on every box sold, to Mind, the mental health charity.
